The town is so charming and classic, just like him. We love St Augustine and we love Tony Bennett!!!
Tony Bennett will be inspired by the beauty of all the old city buildings and the hearts of all the people who live in St. Augustine. St. Augustine is a city of inspiration, beauty, calmness, serenity, and having Tony Bennett sing from his beautiful voice that God has so graciously given him would be something that the people would not forget. It will be a memory of all times. To be able to go see Tony Bennett would be a dream come true. To be able to share in the memory of him being in the Grand Old City of St. Augustine would make the city sing with joy. Make my heart sing as well. I grew up on Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and they are always an inspiration to all young and old.
Welcome with a smile. A simple stroll down St. George. Getting lost in the side streets and alleyways. Basking in the breeze on the bay front. Smelling delectable cuisine with every step. Indulging in remarkable spirits. Exploring ancient artifacts and discovering museums. Walking amongst pirates. Sampling local delicatessens. Lounging in the miraculous weather. Spending time with those you love. Building memories for many years to come.
You know the feeling you get in New York City? The excitement? San Francisco feels like a delicious secret that is shared with you, a little at a time. You know when you’re in a great city the second you arrive in St Augustine–you can feel it.
St Augustine is a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously and has learned the secret of staying young while embracing age with grace. St Augustine is immediately comfortable. No pretense here. Come and fall in love with the harbor, the live oaks, the wonderful outdoor restaurants and bars, the music, the history, the people, the streets, the carousel.
Come and find your favorite spots and know that part of your heart will blend with some of St Augustine’s soul and you’ll never want to be away for too long.
Just like Tony Bennett, St Augustine is one of a kind. They are both so unique and delightfully quirky. There is no other place or person like either one of them. Tony will fall in love with St Augustine just like St Augustine will fall in love with him!
There is so much to see in St. Augustine, the beauty begins at sunrise. It is a great place to spend with family. The sites are amazing and history is everywhere. It is where we have our lunchtime traditions. It is also where we fell in love, and have nostalgic memories. The buildings are amazing here, and there are many photo ops. St. Augustine is where memories are made and history is witnessed. This is where the love of history begins, and new friends are made. This is the beauty of St. Augustine!
the culture and the warm climate and people who love him here along with the class of the city with so many things to see and do for a fun time!
St. Augustine is a place where it all began, as it was personally for us. We got engaged in St. Augustine this past June, after dating for 6 years.
We went for a weekend getaway, to my surprise, it was THE most romantic proposal weekend ever. Having never been before, we researched about St. Augustine. We were instantly blown away by what it had to offer. We will never forget our jam-packed weekend of amazing history, old beautiful sightings and a million romantic moments. To this day St. Augustine is our favorite city. It’s old romantic flavor is unlike anywhere else in the world. It’s old Florida that will forever stay the same. That is why it’s the best city in the United States, it will never change. That is the best part. The history, the beauty, it is somewhere you really do feel love!
Tony Bennett should “leave his heart in St. Augustine” because we did and it has changed out lives ever since. So much that we are getting MARRIED here in September. To tie the knot in the Oldest City will surely bind our lives with something so magical.
(Attached is a photo from our engagement night and a photo in front of a cannon downtown during our last trip in November when we booked our wedding location, The White Room.)

Saint Augustine honors its founder Pedro Menendez every year in February with Noche de Gala. Noche de Gala is an evening of events beginning with a birthday procession down Saint George Street starting at the City Gates and ending at the Lightner Museum where a night of entertainment begins. All of this to celebrate our city’s [...]
As a child growing up in Saint Augustine, my grandmother resided in the heart of the historic district. One of my fondest memories revolve around walking to the Spanish Bakery to buy their fresh-baked, hot-out-of-the-oven bread at 11am for $1.00 a loaf. Also, I still love to this day walking down the cobblestone streets to get a good old fashioned ice cream cone. The horse and carriage rides along the bayfront are unforgettable; there is something about watching that sun go down along that wall. I have traveled and visited many places and the beauty and appeal of Saint Augustine is like no other.
The great speech, the great fans, the great music. The wonderful time every one had.
