The event draws thousands on Palm Sunday to watch as watercraft from [...]
It was a sad afternoon when the Colonial Spanish Quarter closed its doors back in September. What was once one of the city’s most popular attractions was unable to incur enough revenue to continue its long-standing operation. The city of St Augustine spent about thirty years using public and private funds to restore the Colonial [...]

Tony Bennett will be motivated to leave his heart in St. Augustine because of this music video by the band “Sharpened Crayons”:

Tony Bennett inspired the song.
St. Augustine inspired us to visit.
Lyrics:
I wake up in the morning just like everyday
I get these postcards they keep coming my way
I need a chance to explore,
I’m looking for so much more
Maybe St. Augustine… St. Augustine
I’m in my prime and I just turned 22
but here I am at home with nothing to do
I’d love to get away, but where could I stay?
Maybe St. Augustine… St. Augustine
The oldest city and it’s filled with charm
I heard they have an Alligator Farm
You can have a great day, your cares will melt away
in St. Augustine… St. Augustine
I’d hit the beach and spend some time on the sand
I’d swim with dolphins in Marineland
So many people you’ll meet, walking on St. George Street
in St. Augustine… St. Augustine
St. Augustine (repeated)
Bed and breakfast is where you can stay!
Horse drawn carriage come and take you away!
Fountain of Youth at the ancient city!
View from St. Augustine Lighthouse is so pretty!
125 different kinds of birds! …and they got a trolley! (echo)
St. Augustine (repeated)
Despite 2012 being only the second year for the event in Saint Augustine, the Celtic Festival and Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is becoming a tradition for many.
